ABOUT ME!

I was born in LaPorte, Indiana, and my family moved to Platteville, Wisconsin when I was two. We moved to Fountain, Minnesota when I was four, and that remained my childhood home. I graduated from Fillmore Central High School in 2023, with about a year’s worth of college credits because I took PSEO classes throughout school. I am now majoring in Animation at MSUM, and minoring in Integrated Advertising and Public Relations.

I currently work remotely for the Fillmore County Journal, a small town newspaper that my family owns. I’ve been working there since I was around eight years old. I originally just started helping out with small things, but eventually I designed ads, and now I can do pretty much anything regarding the newspaper. I can do layout, ad design, article formatting, and billing. I also do a bit of web design, and when I’m working remotely, I update our website and put up TV advertisements.

I like to stay busy, so before I got into college, I would work at the newspaper part-time, and at other jobs part-time as well. My last job was at Niagara Cave as a tour guide, and when I turned fourteen, I worked at a small restaurant in my hometown, The Village Square. Now, I just work at the newspaper and go to school.

I have two cats, Larry and Myrna, who are part-siamese, part-ragdoll. They’re super affectionate, hyperactive, fun kitties and I always love to see them when I return home. I’m a cat person, but I do like dogs as well. I have a boyfriend, Grant, who is going to Lake Superior College in Minnesota for Aviation Maintenance Technology. He just got his private pilot’s license last year, so he can fly small planes. Grant and I have been together for two years!

I have lots of hobbies, most of them creative. I enjoy digital drawing and painting, crocheting, and playing in Jazz Band. I’m completely obsessed with weightlifting, running, and going to the gym in general. I’m a member of the MSUM club ultimate frisbee team and the MSUM kickboxing club. I also love to read fantasy and dystopian books. I’m an outdoorsy person who likes hiking, kayaking, and swimming. I’m from a pretty area with bluffs and rivers, so I get to enjoy the outdoors frequently.
